The Lodge
Kentitambo is located on a hill overlooking the Museo Leymebamba and is composed of three bungalows set among lush gardens buzzing with hummingbirds. In fewer than twenty years we have converted a barren hillside into a forest filled with native trees and flora. Leymebamba is the ideal jumping off point for excursions to Kuelap and Revash, as well as hikes or horse-back rides to local ruins.
The Kitchen
We offer a mix of international and Peruvian cuisine presented in the main house, featuring fresh, mainly locally-sourced ingredients. We make our own bread, yogurt and farmer’s cheese; breakfast, which is included in the room rate, comprises bread, cheese, ham, home-made jams, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola; and eggs, pancakes or French toast made to order. The Kentikafé at the foot of the property features locally-grown coffee, as well as tea, brownies, cakes and sandwiches.
The Kitchen Garden
Our nearby kitchen garden is rain-watered and free of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. We grow an array of vegetables and herbs, including lettuce and arugula, carrots, parsnips, beets, radishes, rhubarb, strawberries and blueberries. We also raise our own pigs.

Museo Leymebamba
Inaugurated in June 2000, the Museo Leymebamba displays the more than 200 mummies and their burial offerings recovered in 1997 from the Laguna de los Cóndores by a salvage Project directed by Centro Mallqui. Once at risk from looters and vandals, today this valuable collection is housed in the Museo Leymebamba.
